Improve the appearance of your skin with our treatment that combines various technologies

Acne scars are the result of inflammation and enlargement of the sebaceous glands found in the skin.

As a consequence, bacteria, oil, dead cells and dirt accumulate that can clog the pores and lead to the development of these lesions, especially on the face, back, neck and neckline.

Briefly, acne scars arise from an acne breakout that has not healed properly. After the emergence of a pimple, the skin’s collagen is responsible for restoring the dermal tissue that has been damaged, so unsightly marks are the result of a defect or excess in the production of this substance, as well as a irregular arrangement of collagen itself.

If the acne breakouts are constant and intense and the scars become unsightly, it is advisable to go to a specialized and professional clinic that can recommend the treatment that best suits your characteristics and needs. At Centro Láser Cali, we have different laser equipment for the treatment of acne scars.

One of the most worrying consequences of severe acne is the appearance of unsightly atrophic scars.

These are caused by a loss of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid fibers, which generates a loss of volume in these areas. Due to this, our therapeutic objective will be to stimulate the production of these substances in the skin and, in certain cases, replace them.

For their part, those more depressed scars are caused by bands of fibrosis that pull the surface of the skin towards deeper planes.

Atrophic scars are the most common on the face and are divided according to their morphology into 3 types:

  • Rolling or wavy type (superficial and soft like ‘waves’).
  • Boxcar or van type (deep with defined edges and greater than 3 mm wide).
  • Icepeak or ice pick type (those pointed but very deep).

The ability to heal depends on each type of skin, varying mainly depending on the genes and care of each individual, which is why different types of scars can occur.
